5 1/2" (14 cm.) One-piece bisque head, torso and legs, sculpted blonde curly hair with forelock curls tumbling onto forehead, painted blue side-glancing googly eyes, painted lashes, tinted brows, rounded button nose, closed mouth with impish smile, loop-jointed arms with wide-apart fingers, dimpled knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Scootles Reg. US. Pat. Off (original paper label) Scootles c. Rose O'Neill (feet). Comments: the impish member of the Kewpie family was designed by Rose O'Neill, circa 1920, Germany. Value Points: details include glazed highlights on hair, impressed cheek and knee dimples, double chin, original paper label, original cotton romper suit.
