8" (20 cm.) Bisque socket head with heart-shaped face, small brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, brunette mohair wig in hip-length braid, composition body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: BSW (in heart) 537 6/0. Comments: Bahr and Proschild for Bruno Schmidt, circa 1912, the model is known by collectors as "Wendy". Value Points: most endearing and sought-after child, characterized by heart-shaped face, charmingly-shaped upturned nose, full generous lips, original body and body finish, original wig, and wearing fine original antique costume, apron, silk cap, and leather shoes.
