25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full cheeks, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes in smaller eye sockets, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked brows with feathered details, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined shaded lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, dimpled chin and philtrum, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 11 (head, and artist checkmarks) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, earliest presentation of Jumeau's deposed "tete" model, with smaller eye cuts, full cheeks, applied ears, and early body more indicative of early model known as "incised deposed". Value Points: gorgeous bebe with choice bisque and painting, original body and body finish, very fine antique burgundy silk dress with feather-stitching and lace bretelles, lace frou-frou bonnet, undergarments, burgundy knit stockings, leather shoes signed "Depose Bebe Jumeau 11".
