7" (18 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta doll with one-piece modeled head, torso and upper limbs, jointed wooden lower arms and legs, bare feet, sculpted short brown curly hair in elaborate drawn-up loops and curls at the sides and back, sculpted comb at her crown, enamel eyes, mouth modeled as though open with painted teeth, country-style costume. Structurally excellent, comb is restored. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, rare construction style and coiffure.
