4" (10 cm.) All-bisque with sculpted reddish brown hair with exuberantly-modeled topknot and side wing curls, swivel head, painted facial features, blue right-glancing eyes, very full smiling expression, loop-jointed limbs, painted brown ankle boots, factory original costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Kestner circa 1915, based on the character Moritz from the 19th century children's books of Wilhelm Busch, and re-popularized in the early 20th century American comic strip, The Katzenjammer Kids. Value Points: amazingly accurate depiction of the devilish imp in this rare-to-find rendition.
