12" (30 cm.) All-wooden doll excepting pewter hands and feet, rich dark brown complexion on face and shoulders and hands, well-defined carving of facial features and short ringlet curled black hair, shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent, original finish, paint wear on arms and left leg. Comments: American, Joel Ellis, circa 1875. Value Points: very rare complexion variation on the landmark American doll.
