11" (28 cm.) One-piece carved wooden head and torso with rounded face, shapely torso, painted brown eyes with double white eye dots in each eye, cloth upper arms, wooden lower arms with spatula-shaped hands, dowel-jointed arms and legs. Condition: very good, old repaint of complexion. Comments; English, mid-18th century. Value Points: rare original painted brown eyes, wearing original costume comprising gold silk gown with brocade panel, cap, padded petticoat, muslin slip with hand-lettered "1720", hand-stitched kid slippers.
