2 1/2" (6 cm.) Each of twelve dolls is all-bisque with swivel head and jointed limbs, mohair wig, painted facial features, closed mouth, painted shoes and socks. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, the miniature dolls appeared in French Etrennes catalogs during the 1890s and continued to be created as late as 1912 when they appeared in the SFBJ catalog of that year, described as "Lilliputians". Value Points: wonderful set of rare tiny dolls are wearing their original military costumes, each is different, and are presented unplayed with in original box in impeccable condition.
