Description
7" (18 cm.) and 10". Each is one-piece all-bisque figure of a seated child in playful pose, arms outstretched, knees bent or ankles crossed, with sculpted curly hair, well-defined sculpted and painted facial features with dimples, intaglio eyes, smiling expression, and with wonderfully sculpted costumes accented with ruffles and bows; the small child holds a cluster of purple grapes, and a butterfly is perched on the knee of the larger. Generally excellent. Germany, circa 1900.
