9 1/2" (24 cm.) h. case. One-piece carved wooden head and torso with elongated throat and rounded bosom, black enamel inset eyes, all-around dot lashes and arched dot brows, blush spot cheeks, thin line mouth, tacked-on human hair cloth arms, silk dress and bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, circa 1790. Value Points: the doll fragment with fine original finish and costume, is preserved in early wooden exhibition case which is lined with patterned transfer-design wall paper.
