Description
16" (41 cm.) Of splendid woods, the beautifully-crafted five-drawer highboy chest has burled mahogany drawers and sides, which contrast with the drawer frames and the dark walnut fancy columns at each side. There is a shaped white marble top, and very ornate cast gilded bronze drawer pulls, faux-escutcheons, and mounts. Excellent condition. French, circa 1880, the quality of woods, trims, and construction indicate maitrise model creation.
