17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of plump-faced doll with sculpted Charlotte cap in shaded blue color and bound by dark blue ribbon, over sculpted blonde hair in long curls, painted pale blue eyes in deeply set sockets, red and black upper eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 998 # 4. Comments: Alt, Beck and Gottschalk, circa 1880. Value Points: especially fine detail of sculpting especially around the eyes, rare sculpted bonnet.
