Description
19" (48 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, brown painted hair with forelock curls, blue glass inset eyes, painted curly lashes, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth modeled as though open with well-shaded lips, impressed dimples at cheeks and lip corners, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 226 Paris 8. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912. Value Points: especially fine detail of modeling with well-defined laughter lines and crinkles, very fine quality of bisque, antique costume.
