21" (53 cm.) Cream felt doll with swivel head, pressed and painted facial features, downcast blue eyes with heavily-modeled eyelids, accented nostrils, black "dot" brows, closed mouth with downcast lips, black felt cap, slender elongated torso and limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lenci (metal button on costume). Comments: Lenci, circa 1920s, Italian, wearing original cream felt Pierrot costume with black felt ruffle, costume buttons, cap and shoes, and carrying wooden mandolin with painted decorations. Value Points: rare early model Pierrot with original costume.
