6 1/2" (17 cm.) The porcelain trinket box has removable lid which depicts a young blonde-haired child wearing loose smock, seated on a blue blanket, and holding a trumpet and a little toy jester; the base is designed as though a woven basket. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1875.
