Description
7" (18 cm.) Bisque swivel head with flat-cut neck socket, sculpted short curly brown hair, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, open mouth with smiling expression, impressed dimples, two porcelain lower teeth, loop-jointed arms and legs of toddler body, painted white socks and pink one-strap shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bonnie babe Copr. by Georgene Averill (original paper label on chest). Comments: Germany, circa 1920, from the original design by the American doll artist Georgene Averill. Value Points: very fine modeling of hair and impressed cheek dimples, included with the doll is a woven basket containing additional costumes and accessories.
