14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head, narrow blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with modeled tongue tip and row of porcelain teeth, brunette mohair bobbed wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 179 (head) Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1910. Value Points: very choice bisque, complexion, and painting of features, deeply impressed details around the eyes and mouth, original body and body finish.
