16" (41 cm.) All carved wood with one-piece head and torso, bedpost-shaped head, defined carving of round eyes, nose and mouth, tinted black hair, loosely-dowel-jointed at hips and knees with original cast pin attachment, painted ankle boots, solid block-shape at armless shoulders, and attached on wooden rod to original black wooden base. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American folk art, mid-1800s. Value Points: wonderful and all-original folk art doll with uniquely-designed jointing and distinctive face.
