11" (28 cm.) Carved wooden head with carved short black side-parted hair which waves across her forehead and forms in a curled bob, carved and tinted facial features, cloth body, wooden hands. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese, Door of Hope Mission, circa 1920, the young girl is wearing textured aqua silk tunic with coral edging, and cotton print lining, leggings, lilac silk slippers. Value Points: rare coiffure with 1920s "modern" coiffure, excellent carving, original costume.
