16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, two porcelain upper teeth, tongue, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: H made in Germany 19 247 JDK 12. Comments: Kestner, circa 1914, the doll is known as "Baby Jean". Value Points: an especially pretty example of the sought after doll with deeply impressed cheek dimples, choice bisque, charming antique costume.
