16" (41 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged shoulder plate, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, thin dark eyeliner and delicately painted lashes, blushed eye shadow, arched brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center line between the pale outlined lips, ears pierced into head, brunette mohair wig, kid poupee body with shapely torso, gusset jointing at hips and knees, kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque arms to above the elbows with sculpted curled fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E. 4 B. Comments: Barrois, Paris, circa 1860. Value Points: very beautiful gentle demeanor with lovely complexion and eyes, very sturdy original body with rare bisque hands, lovely silk gown with ice blue silk lappets trimmed with soutache, undergarments, and leather boots.
