8" (20 cm.) (including crown). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, pale blue inset eyes with darker blue iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with hand-stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1865. Value Points: the rare tiny poupee has beautiful bisque and very sturdy original poupee body, with original boutique label of the Paris toy store "A La Recompense", and wearing original costume symbolizing Genevieve, the patron saint of Paris, including silk gown with decoupage emblem of the coat of arms of Paris, and with gilt metal crown.
