28" (71 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead of adult lady with very elongated throat, sculpted hair in very elaborate style with braid-wrapped topknot and four ringlet curls flanking each side of face, partially sculpted ears, painted down-glancing blue eyes, heavy lidded eyes with black eyeliner, closed mouth with shaded lips, slender kid body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted orange shoes, wearing early transfer gown, undergarments. Condition: original finish albeit craquelure on neck and shoulderplate, rub on nose, repair to torso and legs. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: very rare coiffure and grand size of the early doll, original costume.
