9" (23 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head, sculpted dark wind-blown hair with modeled brown cap, modeled neatly-trimmed beard and moustache, modeled-shut eyes, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, wearing woven costume with laced front, sandals, leather sack. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, rare shut eyes and modeled cap.
