23" (58 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and painted facial features, blue side-glancing eyes, very thick black eyeliner, thick black brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, bright red lips, blonde mohair wig, stitch-jointing at hips and shoulders. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: for the French market, likely presented by the Paris store of Au Nain Bleu which they offered in the 1920s. Value Points: wonderful character with highly-stylized painting of face and unique original costume with wide bead-accented belt, fancy cap, tassel-trimmed vest, red and white striped bloomers, black boots.
