17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue painted eyes in deeply-defined sockets, black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with smiling expression, row of painted teeth, deeply-impressed cheek dimples, laughter lines at lip corners, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing antique dress, undergarments, woven bonnet, socks and shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 151 S&H 7 1/2. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910, from their rare art character series of only three models (150, 151, and 152) which were created in very limited numbers. Value Points: very rare model has especially fine sculpting with defined laughter crinkles around the eyes and mouth, fabulous cheek dimples, lovely wig, original body and body finish.
