21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head, very deep amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, rose blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, shaded and outlined lips, separately modeled pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig over cork pate. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Brevete SGDG Jumeau 10 (impressed on large letters on back of head). Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1884. Value Points: very rare Jumeau bebe model with unique signature, fine creamy bisque, gorgeous amber eyes, separately sculpted ears, original early body and body finish, lovely antique costume including tulle dress, undergarments, stockings, signed Bebe Jumeau leather shoes, and silk crepe and satin bonnet.
