18" (46 cm.) Pink-tinted porcelain head with flat-cut neck socket on original shoulder plate, plump rounded facial shape, painted facial features, large blue down-glancing eyes with darker blue outer rims, black upper eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast lips, blonde mohair curly wig over cork pate, kid torso with kid-over-wooden upper arms, lower hips and lower thighs, kid-over-wooden upper calves with ball-joints, porcelain lower arms and legs with sculpted bare feet, wearing beautiful antique ice blue silk dress, with blouse, undergarments, stockings, leather shoes, and carrying beaded purse. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Brevete SGDG (torso stamp). Comments: Leontine Rohmer, circa 1858. Value Points: rare early poupee with beautiful expression, and having various rare and early Rohmer depose systems in her construction including neck pivot and body style, with especially fine painting of eyes and rare bare porcelain feet.
