13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, with Dehors articulation of the neck allowing side and front nodding as well as swivel movement, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line on the lips, ears pierced into the head, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset jointing at hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 0. Comments: Auguste Dehors, circa 1866, who deposed his remarkable system for head articulation in that year, allowing realistic posing of the head. Value Points: especially appealing facial expression, rare neck articulation, original wig, body, beautiful original blue silk gown, undergarments, leather boots, and bonnet.
