13" (33 cm.) including hat and base. Carved wooden swivel head with flat-cut neck socket, that is pin-attached to wooden torso, carved facial features with aristocratic demeanor, deeply-set eye sockets, painted brown eyes, strong nose, closed mouth, wooden torso and limbs, pin-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, carved wooden shoes, and posed on original wooden base. Condition: good, original finish. Comments: southern Germany, early 1800s. Value Points: the man wears original elaborate court costume with elaborate metallic lace trimmed silk brocade, and grand Marquis hat.
