16" (41 cm.) w. x 8"h. x 9"d. Of fine mahogany or walnut wood, the flat-top desk has unusual metal frame painted to simulate wood, while the desk top and actual drawers are constructed of finely grained woods, and with intricate dove-tailed construction of drawers. The fine cabinetry and meticulous construction of the desk indicate its original production as a salesman sample or patent model, late 19th century. Excellent condition. Included with the desk is a typewriter model, tin suitcase (originally biscuit box), Hotchkiss cast iron clock, miniature telephone and more. Excellent condition.
