Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with sculpted bosom and shoulder blades, large brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked and feathered brows with shaded detail, shaded nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with beautifully outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid bebe body with kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque arms from elbow downward, kid-over-metal hinged hips, wooden lower legs. Condition: generally excellent, fine restoration to left forefinger and elbow joint. Marks: Bru Jne (head) Bru Jne N. 14 (shoulder). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1885. Value Points: an outstanding example of the most desirable model, not only for its grand size which allows superb sculptural definition, but also for finest quality of bisque and painting, original very sturdy body, and gorgeous antique costume of fine silks, antique floral corsage, leather signed Bru Jne shoes.
