12" (30 cm.) Pink-tinted porcelain shoulder head with plump face, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, firmly stuffed kid poupee body with shapely torso, hand-stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1860, in the Blampoix manner. Value Points: wonderful all-original petite poupee with fine luminous complexion, brilliant eyes, very sturdy body, and wearing original (frail) shepherdess costume with pearl necklace and decorated crook.
