Description
16" (41 cm.) Each has bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted brown curly lashes and brows, closed mouth with lips slightly-parted in expressive manner, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, one with blonde mohair wig and the other with painted brushstroked hair in boyish style. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish on each, with some minor flaking on hands. Marks: SFBJ 236 Paris 6 (wigged model) 226 (wigged model). Comments: French, SFBJ, circa 1912. Value Points: the dolls are presented in three-layered trunk filled with a variety of finely-made costumes and accessories, one bearing the original label of Au Nain Bleu of Paris.
