15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, pale blue inset eyes with darker blue outer rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented line between the lips, pierced ears, original blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with square cut collarette, gusset jointing at hips and knees, bisque arms to the elbows, lovely silk gown with seed pearl applique, undergarments, stockings, and leather boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D (head and shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, the model was deposed by him in 1872, having distinctive smiling expression. Value Points: rare body style with beautifully sculpted hands, fabulous original wig, finest painting of facial features including subtle blushing of lips.
