18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades, very full cheeks and throat, blue glass spiral-threaded paperweight eyes, thick dark eyeliner, rose blushed eyeshadow, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with drilled hole between the lips, pierced ears, lambswool wig over cork pate, rubber ball in head connecting to metal turnscrew at the back of head for "nursing" activity, firmly-stuffed kid bebe body with gusset jointing at hips and knees, bisque arms to the elbows, separately-sculpted fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 5 T (head) 1/0 (shoulderplate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his deposed Bebe Teteur of 1882. Value Points: especially beautiful model with splendid eyes, intact mechanism, very sturdy body, perfect hands, antique costume, additional original bebe white pique costume and caps, baby bottle marked "Bebe Teteur" and with original boutique label on torso from the prestige Paris doll shop of Au Nain Bleu.
