Untinted bisque socket head, brown glass inset eyes, painted curly black brows, painted red clown decorations on white complexion, pierced ears, blonde mohair curly wig, French paper mache body jointed at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner Paris A 2. Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890. Value Points: rare little jester in petite size, with original wig, body, body finish, and wearing antique silk jester costume, carrying little tambourine with hand-painted designs.
