Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) Having paper mache head wih tinted gofun finish, painted facial features, grey shadowed hair, the young child wears original costume with red silk trousers, rare tied wrists on the brocade jacket, and paper butterfly wings attached to his back. He is posed in a very animated manner, holding a drum in his hands. Generally excellent. Early 1900s.
