17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, pretty antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: G.K. 14-27. Comments: Gebruder Kuhnlenz, circa 1885. Value Points: most charming shy expression on the early closed mouth doll with entrancing large eyes, original body and body finish.
