Description
16" (41 cm.) All-cloth doll, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, cardboard heart, brown worsted yarn hair, black shoe button eyes, painted facial features with six lashes under each eye, lightly outlined slanted nose, broad grin on thin line mouth, red and white narrow-striped stockings, brown sewn-on shoes, original patterned dress, pinafore, and pantalets. Condition: very good. Marks: Patented Sept 7, 1915. Comments: Raggedy Ann by Volland, circa 1920, unusual to find hand-painted features. Value Points: rare early model of the beloved storybook doll with most endearing expression.
