8" (20 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulderhead, bright blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, firmly-stuffed original muslin body, bisque lower arms and hands, blonde mohair wig. Condition: near mint. Comments: Germany, Simon and Halbig, circa 1880. Value Points: in perfectly preserved original state, the early doll with beautiful face is wearing original traditional costume.
