7" (18 cm.) Appearing as a one-piece figural, the girl with sculpted blue bonnet, blue skirt with pink floral transfer design and wrapped garlands, ruffled shawl and bonnet streamers is actually a two-part vanity box which separates at the garlands for interior access. She is holding a large music book and is posed upon a gilt accented porcelain base. Marks: (blue bishop's staff stamp). excellent condition. Germany, Dressel and Kister, circa 1911, from a series of Dickens-like children, the various models were made as half-dolls, full figurines, trinket boxes, and other novelties.
