Description
12" (30 cm.) Each of three bisque socket heads has solid dome, sculpted and/or flocked hair, glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth, attached wooden neck dowel with attachment design to allow easy replacement on the composition body; one doll is attached to original composition jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, one slight cheek rub, one head has wear to flocked hair. Marks: 233 4 (crying) SFBJ 226 Paris 4 (smiling) SFBJ 225 Paris 4 (smiling with teeth). Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912, the multi-interchangeable head set was offered in the SFBJ catalog of that year. Value Points: very rare set with wonderful sculpting of highly characterized faces.
