Description
4" (10 cm.) Waist-up porcelain half-doll with sculpted pale blue bonnet with peach streamers, ruffled shawl over red blouse, with arms modeled away, holding a large music book. Marks: (blue bishop's staff stamp). Excellent condition. Germany, Dressel and Kister, circa 1911, from a series of Dickens-like children, this is the half-doll version of the trinket box, #131 in this catalog. It appeared in the 1911 Dressel & Kister catalog as model 4115.
