11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head depicting an old man with deeply incised and accented age wrinkles, brown glass inset eyes, strong nose, thick bushy white brows, closed mouth with scowling lips, pronounced ears, white mohair wig and beard, Sonneberg composition fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Old Rip 12/0. Comments: Cuno and Otto Dressel, circa 1890. Value Points: well-detailed sculpting of features with deeply incised wrinkles, original body and factory-original costume.
