5" (13 cm.) The firm-sided folio,designed in the shape of lady's purse with ormolu corners,leather cover with gilt edging,gilt metal bail handle,green ribbon trim,has a cream leather center panel with gold tooling that presents etchings of Johann Strauss and Joseph Lanner,considered by all as the maestro's of the Viennese waltz. Contained in the folio are ribbon-tied papers celebrating the two,along with actual small sheet music. The back of the folio is lettered "Ball der Stadt Wien" (Ball of the City of Vienna),1908. Near mint condition,a very luxury example of the Viennese ballspenden,1908.
