16" (41 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of lady with elongated throat, brown sculpted hair in elaborately arranged curls and loops, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, pierced ears, elaborate Dresden detail includes pale blue neck ruffle and a criss-cross bodice ruffle that extends around the back over painted magenta "lace", muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms, sewn-on stockings and leather boots, antique gown. Condition: generally excellent, few tiny flakes on ruffle. Comments: Germany, circa 1870, attributed to C.F. Kling, circa 1870. Value Points: regal stature is enhanced by exceptional detail of Dresden ruffles.
