11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head with highly defined features, strong nose, blue glass inset eyes, painted red age wrinkles, painted lashes and thick grey brows, closed mouth, white mohair wig and beard, Sonneberg five-piece body with jointing at shoulders and hips, painted shoes and stockings. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2/0. Comments: Cuno and Otto Dressel, Sonneberg, circa 18890, the same model was presented by that firm as Uncle Sam and as Farmer. Value Points: the all-original St. Nicholas figure has flannel hooded coat with white "fur" trim, carries a flannel sack and little feather tree.
