17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of pale-complexioned lady with light-brown sculpted hair in elaborate arrangement featuring braids, loops and arranged curls with a single Dresden rose at one side, and with an intricately decorated bodice featuring ruffled Dresden collar above a band of gold beads, and with painted magenta and black decorations, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, delicately painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with tiny accented lips, pierced ears, muslin body with bisque lower limbs, painted blue boots. Condition: generally excellent, some flakes on Dresden hair rose. Comments: Germany, attributed to C.F. Kling, circa 1870. Value Points: rarity factors include cobalt glass eyes, light-brown hair color, and elaborately decorated bodice.
