Bisque socket head, painted facial features, small pale blue upper-glancing eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth in wide smiling expression with outlined lips and two beaded upper teeth, deeply impressed cheek dimples, brunette mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully jointed body, straight wrists, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: W 142. Comments: Germany, circa 1910, attributed to Theodor Hornlein. Value Points: rare model with wonderfully expressive features, fine quality of bisque and painting, original body and body finish.
